Productivity blog review: 43 folders

We all love to be at our productive best, who does'nt love the feeling exhaustion from a highly productive day. It gets really addictive to keep tuning our productivity tools and ideas, here I review the best productivity blogs to stay in tune.

43 folders

I first stumbled across 43 folders a few years ago when I was trying to free up some time in my action packed work day.The getting things done ( gtd ) blog post had me pondering about what I do at work, how much of it is really useful stuff and what can I get rid of. From then on Merlin's blog has been my frequently visited blog for tips and thoughts on workplace productivity,

You can't go through years of blog posts in one sitting but be sure to check the all times popular posts. Beware the popular list itself could become a productivity drain  for the day, so put it on your reading list and keep going back to it.

The hipster pda, another great idea of printing your own simple pda. No smartphone app could even come close to this one. Though I printed them a couple of years back, it questions the use of fancy apps and big name organizers. Many of these productivity apps are actually complex enough to become productivity drains, instead the hipster pda is a simple a4 print that you can fold cleverly into the size of a pocketable fold.

The inbox zero is another interesting concept of keeping your inbox clean and empty. Is that even possible? yes if you apply some productivity tips from gtd and categorize email into actionable and fileable. I do practice this one even today in my own way. I never have more than a handful of emails in my inbox.

Writers block happens to everyone, I sometimes just go into busy traffic zones to see what people are doing, or watching a tc show sometimes opens up my mind. Merlin mann has some great tips on hacking the writers block.

If you use a rss reader make sure you subscribe to their feed url. If you have not yet tried an rss reader make sure you check out Arego my very own android app for reading rss.

Minibee the android productivity app

Minibee is the android productivity app. Its a mini database and productivity tool for phones and tablets. After you get tired of playing games and reading apps they next best thing you can do on your android device is to store handy information. Minibee lets you create a variety of lists and tables to track everything from projects, books, tasks, movies to just about anything.

Chances are you also have loads of android apps to track different things. Minibee is one single productivity app that can track a zillion things. You can use it to keep track of tasks, chores, make travel plans, manage projects and just about anything. Android does not have a single productivity app that can serve many needs. Minibee was made just for that

Minibee is a complete database app for android. You can create custom schema, create links and relationships with support for images. Its in-memory and provides super fast searches.

Plain text searches allow you to find any information without complex queries. You can create custom tables for anything

Some of the best apps on android are free, so is minibee. You can get the pro version if you want to unlock all templates but otherwise its free to build your own custom tables.

Here's a video of the app in action.
